Our client is seeking a hardworking, reliable, and hands-on Factory Operator to support their day-to-day food processing operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in the processing, packaging, and preparation of customer orders while ensuring production targets, quality standards, and hygiene requirements are consistently met.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys practical work, is willing to learn, and thrives in a production environment.

Key Responsibilities

Production Operations

  • Receive and inspect raw materials for quality and quantity.

  • Sort, wash, peel, slice, and prepare food products for processing.

  • Carry out food processing activities, including drying, smoking, grinding, milling, and packaging.

  • Operate dehydrators, smoking kilns, grinders, milling machines, and other production equipment safely and efficiently.

  • Monitor production processes to ensure product quality and consistency.

  • Weigh, package, label, and prepare finished products for storage and dispatch.

  • Sort and prepare customer orders accurately and on time.

Equipment Handling

  • Operate production equipment safely and efficiently.

  • Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of production equipment.

  • Report equipment faults or breakdowns promptly.

Quality, Hygiene & Food Safety

  • Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety procedures at all times.

  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the production area and equipment.

  • Ensure products meet established quality standards.

  • Minimize product losses and wastage during production.

Inventory & Record Keeping

  • Record daily production quantities and material usage.

  • Monitor stock levels of raw materials and packaging materials.

  • Support stock counts and inventory management activities.

General Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day factory operations as assigned.

  • Assist with loading and unloading materials.

  • Adhere to workplace health and safety requirements.

  • Work Saturdays on a rotational basis (approximately one or two Saturdays per month).

Requirements

  • Minimum of SSCE.

  • Previous experience in food processing, manufacturing, or factory operations is an advantage but not required.

  • Ability and willingness to learn how to operate food processing equipment.

  • Physically fit and able to perform manual production tasks and stand for extended periods.

  • Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

  • Strong work ethic, reliability, punctuality, and teamwork skills.
