About the Role:
The Finance Senior Associate – Payroll is responsible for the end-to-end payroll process , ensuring that employee compensation is accurate, compliant, and delivered on time .
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Processing
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing, including payroll inputs, validation, computation, and release
- Ensure all payroll transactions (allowances, deductions, adjustments) are processed accurately
- Validate employee data including hires, exits, salary movements, and payroll changes
Compliance and Statutory Requirements
- Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements (BIR, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG)
- Prepare and review payroll-related filings and reports for government agencies
- Maintain accurate payroll records for audit and regulatory requirements
Reconciliation and Controls
- Perform payroll reconciliations (payroll register vs general ledger, bank funding, and statutory accounts)
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
- Ensure strong controls are in place to maintain payroll accuracy and confidentiality
Stakeholder Management
- Coordinate with HR and other teams to ensure completeness and accuracy of payroll inputs
- Address payroll-related queries from employees and stakeholders
- Support internal and external audits related to payroll
Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and controls
- Support automation and system enhancements where applicable
- Maintain documentation of payroll procedures and ensure adherence to standards
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA is preferred
- At least 4–6 years of relevant experience in payroll operations
- Amenable to a hybrid work setup in Makati City
Skills and Competencies
- Strong understanding of payroll processes and statutory compliance in the Philippines
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to manage deadlines in a structured payroll cycle
- Good communication skills for stakeholder engagement
Technical Skills
- Experience with payroll or ERP systems (e.g., Workday, SAP, Oracle) is an advantage
- knowledge on BIR rules on payroll tax, SSS/PhilHealth/HDMF policies and contribution calculations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications
