Forge Apprentice
Ready to launch your manufacturing career in the aerospace industry? We are seeking motivated Forge Apprentices to join a growing aerospace manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with manufacturing experience who want to develop specialized skills in forging, heat treatment, inspection, and metal processing.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of manufacturing experience required.
- Experience in metal manufacturing, forging, machining, or production environments is a plus.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Job Duties:
- Perform final surface inspection and conditioning of forged parts before shipment.
- Apply product identification markings according to specifications.
- Prepare furnace loads based on material type and production requirements.
- Verify part counts, straightness, and flatness before and after heat treatment.
- Perform cold and hot straightening of materials as needed.
- Conduct hardness inspections on forged products.
- Assist with furnace startup and monitor heat treatment processes.
- Support production operations and maintain quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.
Physical Capabilities:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive production tasks throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift materials, components, or finished products weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to safely operate around production equipment and moving machinery.
- Ability to maintain productivity while working in fast-paced manufacturing environments.
- Steel-toed boots required.
