Our client is seeking an Advanced Front-End Developer to join a high-impact DevOps team , delivering IT solutions to the global Group. This position is centered within the Retail Vehicle Management Services (RVMS) product domain, focusing on engineering core front-end sub-products including Vehicle Search Services (VSS), Vehicle Booking Services (VBS), and Stock Search Frontends (SEAF/TASER). You will work mostly autonomously with a mentor on complex tasks, translating business requirements into high-quality user interfaces.
Technical Profile & Mastery
- Front-End Core: 2 3 years of solid development experience using Angular, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Responsive Layouts: Proven experience building highly responsive modern web layouts using CSS and HTML.
- Cloud & Containers: Practical familiarity with AWS Cloud alongside container orchestration tools like OpenShift, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- CI/CD Integration: Solid understanding of automated deployment pipelines using tools like Jenkins.
- Analytical Capability: Strong aptitude for requirements gathering, analysis, and translation into technical front-end solutions.

- Location: Gauteng (Hybrid Rotation)
- Work Arrangement: Remote / On-site work location flexibility (Midrand/Menlyn/Rosslyn/Home Office Rotation)
- Level: Advanced
Non-Negotiables
- Primary experience focused on back-end database engineering or pure system administration without core Angular application development experience.
- Less than 2 years of practical programming experience in JavaScript, TypeScript, or Angular.
- Inability to showcase experience or familiarity with containerized environments (Docker/Kubernetes/OpenShift).
Essential Skills & Technologies
- Core Angular, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- OpenShift, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Jenkins and continuous delivery concepts.
- Responsive UI engineering using HTML and CSS.
- AWS Cloud environments.
- Advantageous: Webpack, SonarQube, front-end testing tools (Karma, Jasmine, Cypress), and experience collaborating closely with UX designers.
Key Responsibilities
- UI Development: Lead the development, optimization, and continuous maintenance of responsive front-end platforms and applications.
- Requirements Analysis: Meet directly with end-users to elicit, organize, simplify, and translate complex retail business requirements into technical layouts.
- Solution Presentation: Review, document, and present proposed systems solutions to IT Project Managers, team leads, and system owners.
- Agile Collaboration: Actively participate in and facilitate daily stand-ups and Agile Working Model ceremonies.
- Knowledge Sharing: Coordinate between development and support environments while compiling user manuals and providing technical coaching to colleagues.
