Senior Full Stack / API Software Engineer

Canberra, ACT (Hybrid)

Contract Opportunity | Initial term to June 2027 + extension options

About the Role

We are seeking experienced Senior Full Stack / API Software Engineers to join a high‑performing technology team delivering enterprise‑scale digital solutions within a large and complex government environment.

This role offers the opportunity to work across modern cloud‑native platforms, APIs, and enterprise applications while contributing to large‑scale transformation and integration initiatives. You will play a key role in software development, technical leadership, system integration, and continuous improvement activities within an Agile delivery environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and maintain scalable enterprise applications and APIs
  • Participate in technical analysis, architecture and solution design activities
  • Develop modern web applications using JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks
  • Deliver RESTful API solutions and system integrations
  • Troubleshoot production issues and implement fixes and enhancements
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipeline development and automation
  • Support testing, release management and deployment activities
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation and deployment artefacts
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring and peer reviews

Working Arrangements

This is a hybrid Canberra‑based role. Successful candidates will initially work onsite full‑time during onboarding and transition periods. Flexible working arrangements may be considered thereafter, with ongoing onsite attendance requirements.
