The Full-Stack Application Developer (Kotlin-Java/React) reports to the Manager, Product Development. You will work with a team of full-stack developers to design, develop, and implement various features and components of a web-based product application built in Kotlin. Product Overview
Equisoft/Carbon is a cloud-native Policy Administration System (PAS) built for insurance carriers. Responsibilities
Collaborate in an Agile environment with a dynamic team of software developers, product owners and quality assurance specialists. Write robust, efficient, and secure code in accordance with functional analyses. Participate in the analysis of features that meet business and technology requirements. Innovate, challenge and refine requirements based on technical assessment. Actively participate in peer-review process and provide constructive feedback. Participate in functional tests and documentation of actual and future features. Ensure overall software quality and its evolution in the medium to long term. Ensure quality control through scenario testing to validate systems and programs developed comply with technical specifications. Write reliable code based on SOLID software engineering practices. Fix bugs in a timely manner while solving more complex issues. Collaborate with different teams to solve customer issues. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, information technology or equivalent college degree. 5 to 7 years of experience in a similar role. Technical Skills
Excellent knowledge and experience with programming language like Kotlin, Java or .Net. Excellent knowledge of SQL. Excellent knowledge of microservice architecture. Good knowledge and experience with React or Angular and JavaScript/TypeScript. Knowledge of GraphQL and REST APIs. Good knowledge of SOLID principles and OOP. Knowledge of Agile and Kanban methodologies. Knowledge in DevOps Azure Pipeline. Knowledge of security challenges with web-based applications. Experience in solving complex software engineering problems. Soft Skills
Strong sense of organization and prioritizing. Analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to communicate, write and synthesize information. Ability to multi-task in a rapid-paced environment. Team spirit, tact, diplomacy, autonomy, rigor, and discipline. Nice to haves
