Job Title: Principal Full Stack Engineering
The Purpose of the role
Fidelity's Workplace Investing Reporting and Analytics chapter is seeking a Principal Full Stack Engineer to play a key role in enhancing client experience for PSW reporting application by delivering new functionality on newer technology stack. This person will be have a strong technical background and knowledge and be an addition to a pool of software engineers , collaborate across the teams and work with technical partners, and testers as needed. The role demands significant collaboration with members of various business and IT groups throughout the lifecycle of a typical project. Our engineering team is innovative, diverse, hardworking, and self-driven. We work in a very dynamic agile environment.
The Expertise You Have
Bachelor’s degree in computer science / similar technical subject area and or equivalent experience
Strong hands-on experience with Java, Python, and Spring Boot-based application development
Experience building and deploying applications on AWS, including EKS/Kubernetes
Strong understanding of modern architecture patterns, APIs, and UI-driven applications
Conceptual understanding of embedding reports in portal environment
Experience as a Power BI Developer with a strong portfolio of built reports, dashboards, and visualizations.
Proficient in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, DAX, Power Query (M Language), Semantic model development and custom visuals.
Hands on experience with SQL & Performance Tuning in relation with Snowflake queries. Ability to work with large datasets efficiently.
Understanding best practices and implementation of standards within Power BI reports.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot data or report issues.
Experience with CI/CD for BI & Data Pipelines
Experience with Snowflake-specific features, such as Snowflake data sharing, Snowpipe, or Snowflake Streams.
Nice to have
Experience in Data engineering, Data Modeling and Data analysis
Experience is Pl-SQL and Informatica ETL
Extensive experience in working in warehouse environment using Oracle/ Exadata a source
