Full Stack Developer – Hybrid, Toronto, Ontario – Contract.
Experience & Qualifications
- At least 3 years of Java – Open JDK 8 and 11
- At least 3 years of Spring Boot 2 or 3
- At least 3 years of SOAP Web Service development
- At least 3 years of REST Service development
- At least 3 years of Git, DevOps, CI/CD
- At least 3 years of Docker and Kubernetes
- At least 3 years of OAuth2
- At least 3 years of Java Data JPA and Hibernate
- At least 5 years of Oracle and 3 years of SQL Server databases
- At least 5 years of JUnit 4 or 5
- At least 3 years of Open API Specification and Swagger
- At least 2 years of front‑end technologies: React and Node.js
- Experience in design, coding, testing, debugging, and documenting applications
- Experience in application design, modern design patterns, deployment, and troubleshooting
- Experience with one or more communication protocols
- Experience eliciting and documenting information from diverse business area stakeholders and subject‑matter experts
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with IT professionals throughout the Software Development Life Cycle
- Apply structured methodologies such as Agile and Scrum for development, design, implementation, and maintenance of applications
- Translate technical system specifications into working, tested applications
- Develop detailed programming specifications, write and generate code, compile data‑driven programs, maintain systems, and conduct unit tests
- Resolve and troubleshoot technical problems arising during the use and operation of software packages, including implementation, conversion, and deployment support
Technical Skills
- Hands‑on experience reflecting the technologies listed above (Java, Azure, etc.)
- Developing detailed programming specifications and writing code
- Compiling data‑driven programs and maintaining codebases
- Conducting unit tests and maintaining quality standards
Communication Skills
- Strong communication skills for preparing documentation, including solution documentation, user manuals, reports, reviews, and assessments
- Ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively in a user‑friendly manner
- Maintain a high level of customer service to both internal and external clients
- Clearly and understandably communicate designs and development activities
Technical and Soft Skills
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills
- Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
- Team player with a track record of meeting deadlines
