Job Description
The ideal candidate will possess strong backend engineering expertise, hands-on frontend development experience, and the ability to build and maintain modern data pipelines. This role requires a collaborative engineer who can leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and software quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
- Build and support microservices-based architectures in cloud-native environments.
- Develop responsive and user-friendly frontend applications using React and TypeScript.
- Design, build, and optimize data ingestion, transformation, and processing pipelines using Python.
- Develop and maintain workflow orchestration solutions using Apache Airflow.
- Implement large-scale data processing solutions using Apache Spark.
- Build and manage data solutions leveraging Snowflake and modern cloud data platforms.
- Collaborate with product, architecture, and engineering teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Apply software engineering best practices including automated testing, code reviews, CI/CD, and observability.
- Utilize AI-powered development tools to improve code quality, productivity, testing, and delivery outcomes.
- Troubleshoot, optimize, and support production applications and data pipelines.
Required Qualifications
- Strong experience in Java and Spring Boot application development.
- Proven experience designing and developing REST APIs and microservices.
- Hands-on experience with React and TypeScript for frontend development.
- Experience building ETL/data processing solutions using Python.
- Working knowledge of Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration.
- Experience with Apache Spark for distributed data processing.
- Experience with Snowflake or comparable cloud data warehousing platforms.
- Strong understanding of modern software development practices, including testing, CI/CD, and agile methodologies.
- Experience working with AI-assisted engineering tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor, Codeium, or similar) within the software development lifecycle.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in privacy, security, or data governance platforms.
- Experience with mutation testing, automated quality engineering practices, and test strategy improvements.
- Experience working in cloud environments (AWS preferred).
- Exposure to platform modernization and large-scale enterprise applications.
