Overview
- This role requires a balanced blend of backend and frontend development expertise, with a primary focus on building scalable, high-performing applications using Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Kafka, React, and Next.js.
- The ideal candidate will have experience developing enterprise-grade applications, designing distributed systems, and building modern customer-facing web experiences. This individual will work closely with product managers, architects, and engineering teams to deliver innovative solutions that enhance the member experience.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices Architecture.
- Build event-driven solutions leveraging Apache Kafka for real-time processing and integrations.
- Develop and enhance responsive web applications using React and Next.js.
- Design and consume RESTful APIs to support frontend and backend services.
- Collaborate with product, UX, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Participate in application architecture, technical design discussions, and code reviews.
- Optimize application performance, reliability, scalability, and security.
- Develop reusable components and services following engineering best practices.
- Support testing, deployment, and production troubleshooting activities.
- Work independently in an Agile environment and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of Full Stack software development experience.
- Strong backend development experience with:
- Java
- Spring Boot
- Microservices Architecture
- REST APIs
- Apache Kafka
- Strong frontend development experience with:
- React
- Next.js
- JavaScript
- TypeScript
- Experience building and supporting enterprise-scale applications.
- Understanding of API integrations and distributed systems.
- Experience working within Agile development environments.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to ramp up quickly and work independently after onboarding.
Preferred Qualifications
- Retail or eCommerce industry experience.
- Experience with Node.js and GraphQL.
- React Native experience.
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience supporting high-traffic, customer-facing applications.
