Our client is looking for an experienced Full Stack Developer to join a collaborative technology team responsible for enhancing and supporting a business-critical workflow platform. This is an excellent opportunity for a developer who enjoys working across the full technology stack, solving complex technical challenges and taking ownership of solutions from design through to deployment.
Key Responsibilities: Design, develop and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot. Develop modern, responsive front-end applications using Angular. Translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable technical solutions. Design and optimise My SQL databases, queries and indexing. Develop and integrate RESTful APIs with internal and third-party systems. Manage source control, code reviews and CI/CD pipelines using Git Lab. Investigate production issues, perform root cause analysis and implement preventative solutions. Improve application performance, stability and scalability. Apply secure coding principles and data protection best practices. Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning and release management. Produce and maintain technical documentation and automated test coverage.Requirements: Relevant qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar. 5+ years' professional software development experience. Strong Java and Spring ecosystem experience (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security). Solid Angular, Type Script and Rx JS experience. Strong My SQL database design and optimisation skills. Experience developing and consuming REST APIs. Experience with Git Lab or similar version control and CI/CD tools. Proven experience supporting production-critical systems. Strong understanding of secure coding and data protection principles.
Advantageous: JPA/Hibernate, Spring Data, Spring Batch or Spring Cloud. Docker and containerised deployments. Linux administration and shell scripting. Cloud platform exposure (AWS, Azure or GCP). Microservices and messaging technologies such as Rabbit MQ or Kafka. Automated testing experience with JUnit, Mockito, Cypress or Karma.
