We are seeking talented junior- to senior-level Full Stack Engineers in Hong Kong, Singapore or Zürich to help build LGT's cutting‑edge Digital Advisory Platform, enabling Relationship Managers to proactively engage with clients.
Responsibilities- Design, develop, and test resilient, stateless, scalable, and reusable services and APIs primarily using Python for backend and data processing.
- Build highly responsive and intuitive user interfaces using React/Next.js, emphasizing design patterns, reusability, code quality, and secure coding practices.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, business analysts, and end‑users to understand business needs, analyze problems, and propose innovative technical solutions.
- Architect and implement technical solutions that adhere to LGT's standards and deliver optimized client experience.
- Develop AI solutions (automation, chatbots, agent‑based systems, MCP prototyping) and integrate them with existing business systems.
- Establish and maintain a robust shared data foundation, designing and optimizing databases (MongoDB, PostgreSQL) and writing effective platform APIs.
- Automate and enhance CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and ArgoCD to ensure quality change, system responsiveness, and deployment efficiency.
- Develop multi‑region deployment solutions, proactively addressing geo‑specific compliance requirements and localization challenges.
- Ensure data integrity and security with industry best practices and LGT's security standards.
- Drive and contribute to test automation efforts, ensuring quality at every stage of development.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade software to maintain high performance and reliability.
- Collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams to build reusable shared libraries and components.
- Write clear, concise, and comprehensive technical documentation.
Senior‑Level Expectations
- Mentor and coach junior team members, provide technical guidance, conduct code reviews, and enforce governance regarding application development and testing standards.
- Demonstrate experience in technical leadership, mentoring, and driving best practices.
Requirements
- Solid experience in full‑stack development with a strong emphasis on Python for backend and data engineering.
- Proficiency in modern frontend development using React/Next.js, HTML, and CSS.
- Experience with REST API development and designing/optimizing NoSQL (MongoDB) and RDBMS (PostgreSQL) databases.
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes), and experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI/CD and ArgoCD.
- Understanding of microservices architecture and cloud‑native application development.
- Experience with or strong interest in AI‑assisted development, AI frameworks, and system integration with AI models.
- Knowledge of basic algorithms, object‑oriented, and functional design principles and pattern best practices.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment and familiarity with lean development principles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to articulate complex technical concepts.
- Proactive, self‑motivated, solution‑driven attitude with passion for continuous process improvement.
- Ability to work effectively in a small, globally distributed team environment and build trusted relationships across the organization.
Desirable Skills (A Plus)
- Experience with observability tools such as OpenTelemetry.
- Prior experience in investment products, private banking, wealth, or asset management.
- Familiarity with geo‑specific compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, APAC regulations) and localization strategies.
