About the role

The position is part of a Digital Operations business unit, the Enterprise Services automation team. As a Lead Full Stack Developer, the individual will be responsible for leading the technical design, development, and delivery of strategic integrations and applications that support business growth and operational excellence.

The successful candidate will act as the technical lead for complex initiatives, providing architectural guidance, establishing engineering best practices, and ensuring high-quality delivery across the software development lifecycle. This is a hands-on technical leadership role with no direct people management responsibilities.

Role Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of scalable, secure, and maintainable full-stack applications and integrations

• Provide technical leadership and architectural direction across multiple projects and development teams

• Own technical solution design and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, security, and engineering standards

• Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Architects, and Delivery Managers to define and deliver solutions that meet business objectives

• Drive software engineering best practices including code quality, testing, CI/CD, observability, and automation

• Conduct code reviews and provide technical mentoring and coaching to developers

• Identify and resolve technical risks, performance bottlenecks, and architectural challenges

• Support the definition and implementation of development standards, reusable frameworks, and shared components

• Contribute to technical roadmaps and strategic technology decisions

• Ensure software deliverables meet expected quality, security, performance, and maintainability standards

• Lead troubleshooting and resolution of complex production issues when required

• Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements that enhance business value and developer productivity

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics / Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience

• 7+ years of experience in software engineering with significant experience delivering enterprise-grade web applications

• Strong experience developing modern web applications using JavaScript and TypeScript, including React, Angular, Node.js, and shared component libraries

• Deep understanding of multi-tier and distributed application architectures

• Experience designing and implementing scalable REST APIs and microservices

• Strong knowledge of SQL and relational database design principles

• Experience working with cloud platforms and modern DevOps practices

• Strong understanding of software design patterns, architectural principles, and engineering best practices

• Significant experience with Agile delivery methodologies and large-scale enterprise projects

• Experience leading technical delivery and influencing engineering decisions across teams

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Advantageous Experience

• Experience within Financial Markets, Capital Markets, or Financial Services environments

• Experience with Microsoft Azure services and cloud-native development

• Experience with ServiceNow development and integrations

• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code

• Experience with AI-assisted development tools, Copilot technologies, or agent-based solutions
