You will play a key role in building next‑generation digital insurance platforms across policy administration, underwriting, claims, and customer engagement.This position requires a hands‑on technologist who can design scalable systems, integrate AI capabilities, and modernize legacy insurance platforms into cloud‑native, API‑driven ecosystems.Your future duties and responsibilitiesDesign and develop enterprise‑grade applications supporting core insurance functions:Policy Administration (PAS)Claims ManagementUnderwriting & RatingBilling & PaymentsBuild modern full‑stack applications using Java (Spring Boot) and front‑end frameworks like React or Angular.Architect and implement cloud‑native insurance platforms on AWS, Azure, or GCP.Develop and integrate AI‑driven capabilities, such as:Claims automation and fraud detectionRisk scoring and underwriting insightsDocument processing (OCR, NLP)Customer service chatbots and virtual assistantsImplement API‑first and microservices‑based architectures for seamless integration with internal and third‑party systems (e.g., brokers, reinsurers, data providers).Work with insurance data models (policy, claims, risk, coverage, endorsements).Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and data security standards (e.g., PII handling).Lead design discussions, code reviews, and mentor junior team members.Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, actuaries, and product teams.Required qualifications to be successful in this roleBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.10+ years of experience in full stack software development.Strong hands‑on experience in:Java (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud)Front‑end frameworks (React, Angular, TypeScript)Proven experience in P&C insurance domain, including familiarity with policy lifecycle, claims processing, and underwriting workflows.Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).Strong understanding of:Microservices and distributed systemsREST APIs and event‑driven architectureExperience with databases (SQL/NoSQL such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB).Experience with integration patterns (REST, messaging, batch).Preferred QualificationsExperience with insurance platforms such as:Experience with AI/ML use cases in insurance, such as:Claims analytics and fraud detectionPredictive underwriting modelsExposure to Generative AI / LLM integration (e.g., document summarization, policy Q&A).Experience with data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, Spark).Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools (CI/CD, Terraform, Kubernetes).Key SkillsStrong understanding of insurance business processes and domain models including Commercial and Speciality.Excellent system design and problem‑solving skills.Ability to translate complex insurance requirements into scalable technical solutions.Strong communication skills with both technical and business stakeholders.Leadership and mentoring capabilities.Continuous learning mindset, especially in InsurTech and AI innovation. the company is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $95,000–$145,000.
