Job Title: Full Stack Developer
Work Location: Hybrid Boston, MA Financial District (4 days/week onsite)
Contract: 6 Months Contract to Hire.
Perfect Fit:
- 15+ years of full stack software engineering experience with 5+ years leading teams while remaining hands-on with architecture and development.
- Strong React/Angular, Node.js/Java/.NET/Python, SQL, AWS cloud services, APIs, Terraform/CloudFormation, and CI/CD experience.
- Prior Asset Management, Investment Banking, or Wealth Management technology experience supporting investment platforms, trading, OMS/PMS, or front-office systems.

- People managers or architects who are no longer hands-on with coding, architecture, and technical delivery.
- Full stack developers without financial services, investment technology, asset management, or capital markets experience.
- Candidates lacking AWS cloud-native architecture, enterprise application ownership, or experience leading distributed engineering teams.
Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Full Stack Development Lead to support enterprise investment technology platforms. This role combines hands-on software engineering, architecture ownership, and technical leadership while driving modernization of cloud-native applications supporting portfolio management, trading, and investment operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead full stack application development across modern cloud-native platforms.
- Design scalable APIs, services, and enterprise application architectures.
- Develop user interfaces using React, Angular, and modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Build and support AWS solutions leveraging Lambda, API Gateway, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, and related services.
- Manage CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation using Terraform, CloudFormation, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
- Own production application stability, deployments, monitoring, and improvements.
- Partner with Investments, Operations, Product, and Technology stakeholders.
- Mentor distributed engineering teams while remaining hands-on technically.
Qualifications
- 15+ years of software engineering experience.
- 5+ years in a senior technical lead or hands-on engineering leadership role.
- Strong full stack development experience with React/Angular, JavaScript, Node.js, Java, .NET, Python, and SQL.
- Hands-on AWS architecture and cloud engineering experience.
- Strong API development, integrations, and enterprise system design experience.
- Experience with CI/CD, DevOps practices, automated testing, and modern engineering standards.
- Prior Asset Management, Investment Banking, Wealth Management, or financial technology experience required.
- Experience with OMS, PMS, ETFs, Snowflake, or investment platforms preferred.
