We build systems that connect, automate, and scale. Automoves is a fast-moving team working at the intersection of product, automation, and data. You will not maintain someone else's legacy codebase. You will build platforms from the ground up and own the technical direction.

BEFORE YOU APPLY

Applications that do not meet the following criteria will not be reviewed:

You have direct experience working with US or Canadian clients or companies

Your English is strong, written and spoken

You can provide a portfolio or examples of work you have shipped

THE ROLE

This is not a task-doer role. What we need is someone who thinks strategically first, then builds. You will look at a business problem, figure out the right architecture, and set the team up to execute it well. Then you will build it yourself.

You are joining as a founding technical team member on an active SaaS platform project. You will also architect and build new platforms from scratch as we expand. That means making decisions about stack, structure, and systems that the company will live with for years. Those decisions need to be right.

Automation is core to how we operate and how we sell. We run our lead pipeline, email and SMS sequences, and internal workflows through automated systems. You will own the architecture and execution of all of it, working with tools like n8n, Zapier, Make, and direct API integrations.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

Before anything else, we need you to think.

– Look at a business requirement and design the right solution before writing a line of code

– Architect SaaS platforms from scratch: data models, API structure, integration layer, automation logic

– Make stack and tooling decisions that balance speed now with maintainability later

– Identify what should be automated, what should be built custom, and what should be a third-party tool

– Set up systems and structure that make it easier for the team to build on top of your work

– Raise problems early. If something is heading in the wrong direction, say so

AUTOMATION AND INTEGRATIONS

This is a core part of the role, not a side skill.

– Design and build the full lead pipeline: ads to CRM to platform to email and SMS follow-up, all automated

– Build workflows in n8n, Zapier, and Make that eliminate manual steps across sales, onboarding, and operations

– Create behavioral email and SMS sequences triggered by user actions on the platform and website

– Connect all tools in the stack: HubSpot, SendGrid, Twilio, WordPress, and others via webhooks and APIs

– Enable sales to run without manual intervention from first ad click through to closed deal

– Audit and improve existing automation workflows as the stack evolves

WHAT YOU WILL BUILD

Phase 1: Core Platform

– Pricing and quote engine, user-facing and internal, with instant calculations, admin controls, and lead capture

– Customer portal with real-time tracking, status updates, and document management

– Admin dashboard for operations: workflow management, assignments, reporting

– Email and SMS notification systems

– WordPress integration and embed support

– n8n, Zapier, and Make connectors for workflow automation

Phase 2: Platform Expansion

– Mobile apps for iOS and Android using React Native

– Multi-brand architecture: unified backend supporting separate product verticals with independent customization

– B2B portal with bulk upload, volume pricing, API access, and white-label booking widget

– BI dashboards: revenue forecasting, route profitability, customer LTV, real-time ops monitoring

Phase 3: Advanced Features

– Payment integration: Stripe, PayPal, automated invoicing, multi-currency, refund handling

– Third-party API connections: CRM (HubSpot, Salesforce), accounting (QuickBooks), maps (Google Maps API)

– Cross-border features: customs documentation, border tracking, address validation

– AI features: dynamic pricing, delivery time prediction, route optimization, fraud detection

– Performance and infra: caching, CDN, load balancing, security audits, API rate limiting

ONGOING RESPONSIBILITIES

– Product development (40%): build new features, iterate based on feedback, run user testing

– Integrations and automation (20%): connect new APIs, build internal tooling, optimize workflows

– Platform maintenance (15%): monitor uptime, fix bugs, handle security and dependency updates

– Analytics and reporting (10%): custom dashboards, product metrics, user behavior tracking

– Collaboration (10%): work closely with marketing and leadership on product direction

– R&D (5%): prototype new features, explore AI/ML applications

REQUIRED SKILLS

Automation and Integrations

– Deep hands-on experience with n8n, Zapier, Make (Integromat), or equivalent: complex multi-step workflows, not simple one-step zaps

– Experience building automated lead pipelines from ad platforms to CRM to email and SMS sequences

– Email and SMS automation via SendGrid, Twilio, or equivalent

– Webhook design and management across multiple third-party services

– CRM integration: HubSpot, Salesforce, or equivalent

– WordPress embedding and integration

Frontend

– 9+ years with React.js: hooks, state management (Redux, Context API, or Zustand), component architecture

– HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), responsive and mobile-first design

Backend

– 9+ years with Node.js + Express or Python + Django/Flask

– RESTful API design, authentication (JWT, OAuth), database design and optimization

– PostgreSQL or MySQL

– Email and SMS API integration: SendGrid, Twilio

DevOps and Infrastructure

– Git version control, CI/CD pipeline setup

– Cloud hosting: AWS, GCP, Railway, Render, Heroku, or Vercel

– SSL, security best practices, monitoring and logging

NICE TO HAVE

– React Native or Flutter for mobile

– TypeScript, GraphQL, Docker, Kubernetes

– AI/ML basics: enough to implement an API and interpret outputs

– Real-time tech: WebSockets, Socket.io

– Automated testing: Jest, Cypress

– Experience in logistics, transportation, or SaaS platform companies

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR BEYOND THE STACK

– You think about architecture before you think about code

– You communicate technical decisions clearly to non-technical people

– You raise problems early, not at the deadline

– You understand business context and build for it, not just for technical elegance

– You work independently and take full ownership of your scope

– You have opinions and you back them up

WHO THRIVES HERE

We are not looking for someone who needs structure handed to them. The people who do well at DBDSIX are the ones who already operate this way.
