Full Stack Developer

About the role

Our client is seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer to support the delivery of business-as-usual and project-based releases across a suite of critical business applications.

Working within a collaborative Agile delivery team, you will contribute to system enhancements, new feature development, integrations, and ongoing platform improvements. This role offers the opportunity to work across modern cloud, API, backend and frontend technologies while contributing to the delivery of high-value digital initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality code in line with agreed technical specifications and standards.
• Support the delivery of BAU releases, enhancements and project-based initiatives.
• Contribute to technical design activities and solution implementation.
• Collaborate with team members to manage design changes and minimise delivery impacts.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation throughout the development lifecycle.
• Support build, testing, deployment and release activities.
• Adhere to established delivery processes, governance frameworks and Agile practices.
• Work closely with developers, architects, analysts, testers and project stakeholders.

Highly desirable criteria

• Demonstrated experience delivering complex digital and technology projects.
• Strong experience working with Azure cloud environments and Platform as a Service (PaaS) solutions.
• Experience developing and supporting cloud-native applications using Azure best practices.
• Strong API development and integration experience, including API lifecycle management.
• Experience defining and managing APIs using OpenAPI specifications and Swagger.
• Understanding of end-to-end solution architecture, including application, integration, database and security components.
• Experience delivering digital services within large and complex organisations.
• Previous government experience will be highly regarded.

Desirable criteria

• Relevant certifications or qualifications in software development, cloud technologies or Agile delivery.
• Formal qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related disciplines.
• Experience with release and change management platforms such as Azure DevOps, Confluence or similar tools.
• Experience working within multidisciplinary Agile delivery teams.

• Modern .NET development, preferably .NET 7 and above.

• Unit testing and automated testing practices.

Frontend Development

• Modern web application development.
• Angular 15+ preferred.
• Single Page Application (SPA) frameworks.
• REST API integration.
• Responsive and accessible user interface design.

Delivery & Agile

• Strong Agile delivery experience.
• CI/CD implementation and support.
• Testing and quality assurance practices.
• Technical documentation.
• Release management and production support.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities and deliverables.
