Sr. Full Stack Developer

We Are Hiring- Sr. Full Stack Developer | 100% Remote

We are seeking a Sr. Full Stack Developer to take ownership of complex, production-grade systems. This role requires more than strong coding ability. The successful candidate must be capable of making sound architectural decisions, solving high-impact technical problems, and connecting backend systems with responsive, real-time frontend experiences.

The ideal candidate has personally owned systems operating at significant scale and understands the consequences of technical decisions involving performance, concurrency, reliability, payments, and customer data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable applications across the backend and frontend.
• Make and own architectural decisions for production systems.
• Develop reliable server-to-browser interactions and real-time user experiences.
• Design PostgreSQL data models with appropriate transactions, locks, constraints, and performance considerations.
• Use Redis in production for caching, pub/sub messaging, and distributed locking.
• Build and maintain WebSocket-based features supporting high levels of concurrent activity.
• Implement and maintain payment integrations, including subscriptions, refunds, and reliable webhook processing.
• Develop and release LLM-powered functionality for external customers.
• Diagnose production issues where defects could result in financial loss, data problems, service disruption, or other material impact.
• Use LLM-based development tools responsibly to improve engineering productivity and code quality.
• Communicate technical decisions, risks, and tradeoffs clearly with company leadership and other stakeholders.

Must-Have Skills:

• At least 7 years of professional experience as a Full Stack Software Engineer/Developer.
• Good English communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate technical decisions.
• At least 5 years of professional experience designing and developing full-stack production applications using Node.js & TypeScript or Python, React (or equivalent), JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, REST APIs, HTTP/HTTPS, JSON, Git, npm/pip.
• At least 5 years of professional experience designing and optimizing relational databases, including transactions, concurrency, locking, schema design, constraints, indexing, and performance tuning using PostgreSQL, SQL, and Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS).
• At least 3 years of production experience implementing distributed caching, messaging, and synchronization using Redis, Pub/Sub, Distributed Locks, In-Memory Data Stores, and developing WebSocket-based real-time applications over TCP/IP.
• At least 3 years of production experience implementing payment processing, subscriptions, refunds, and reliable webhook handling using Stripe (or equivalent Payment Gateway), REST APIs, HTTPS, JSON, and webhooks.
• At least 2 years of experience developing and releasing production-ready AI-powered features using LLM APIs, AI SDKs, Prompt Engineering tools, while supporting complete end-to-end application development.

Nice-To-Have Skills:

• Experience contributing to or owning large-scale production systems serving hundreds of thousands or millions of users.
• Experience making significant architectural decisions for production-grade software systems.
• Experience supporting mission-critical systems where failures could impact financial transactions, data integrity, security, or business operations.
• Strong structured thinking with the ability to independently troubleshoot and solve complex production issues.
• Experience communicating technical risks, trade-offs, and architectural decisions with technical and business stakeholders.
• Experience taking ownership and accountability for technical decisions and production outcomes.

Work Schedule: 9:00 PM - 5:00 AM Philippine time
