About the Company



We're supporting a small, founder-led software company in the Austin area that is looking to add a Full Stack Engineer to its growing team. The company has an established product, active customers, and investor support behind its growth plans. The technical co-founder currently owns a significant portion of the development workload, and this hire will play a critical role in helping scale engineering capacity while taking ownership of new features and product enhancements. This is not a role where you'll spend your days navigating layers of management, process, or operational support work. The core platform is already built, and the focus is on building, improving, and expanding product functionality alongside a small team of highly experienced engineers. If you enjoy startup environments, autonomy, and having a direct impact on the product roadmap, this could be an excellent fit.



About the Role

Responsibilities



  • Build and enhance product features across both frontend and backend systems
  • Work directly with the founders and engineering team on product development initiatives
  • Own projects from design through deployment
  • Contribute to architecture and technical decision-making as the platform evolves
  • Collaborate in a highly autonomous, low-bureaucracy environment
  • Help reduce development bottlenecks by taking ownership of meaningful product work



Qualifications



  • Mid-Level Engineer: Approximately 5–6 years of professional software development experience
  • Strong full stack development experience
  • Comfortable operating independently with limited oversight
  • Senior Engineer: Approximately 7–8+ years of professional software development experience
  • Proven track record owning features and projects end-to-end
  • Experience working in startup or highly entrepreneurial environments
  • Strong product mindset and ability to make decisions independently



Required Skills



  • Technology Stack
  • Backend: Kotlin, Spring Boot, MariaDB
  • Frontend: React, Vue.js, JavaScript / TypeScript
  • Experience with similar frameworks and technologies is welcomed.



Preferred Skills



  • Bonus Experience: Unity, Startup product development, SaaS applications
