Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for software applications, including troubleshooting and resolving issues reported by users
- Respond to support requests via phone, email, chat, or other communication channels
- Log, track, and document support requests in the IT service management (ITSM) tool
- Collaborate with IT Application Developers, other IT teams, and business stakeholders to diagnose and resolve complex issues, gather requirements, and identify potential improvements
- Assist with the deployment, installation, configuration, and maintenance of software applications
- Monitor application performance and identify opportunities for improvement
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including planning, analysis, design, implementation, testing, quality assurance, and maintenance
- Develop, maintain, and support software applications for the organization, ensuring adherence to established standard
- Provide ongoing support and enhancements to existing applications to improve performance, functionality, and user experience
- Troubleshoot and resolve software-related issues and bugs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT infrastructure and helpdesk, to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications
- Create and maintain knowledge base articles, user guides, and other documentation related to application support and development
- Train end-users on the proper use of applications and provide guidance on best practices
- Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in both application support and software development
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 1 year of proven experience in software development, preferably in a similar role or in technical/application support.
- Strong programming skills in one or more languages (e.g., Java, C#, Python, JavaScript
- Experience with web development frameworks (e.g., Angular, React, ASP.NET) and software applications and related technologies, such as databases, web servers, and APIs
- Knowledge of database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL)
- Familiarity with software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) and IT service management (ITSM) tools and ticketing systems
- Understanding of software testing and quality assurance practices, as well as troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong sense of innovation and result driven
- Proficiency in written and spoken English
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities
- Relevant industry certifications, such as CompTIA A+, ITIL, or others, are a plus.
