- Develop and consume application interfaces and web services to integrate directory data sources with downstream systems.
- Write, test, debug, and optimize server-side logic in Java and front-end behavior in JavaScript and HTML.
- Build and tune database interactions and SQL against enterprise database platforms, ensuring data integrity and performance.
- Participate in code reviews, unit testing, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
- Produce design, interface, and deployment documentation, and support releases and post-deployment fixes.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
- Bachelor's degree and 8 years of hands-on, full lifecycle software development experience.
- Demonstrated, current proficiency coding in Java.
- Front-end and interface development with HTML, JavaScript, and modern web UI techniques.
- Strong SQL and experience with one or more enterprise database platforms (Oracle, Sybase, or SQL Server).
- Proven experience designing and implementing application interfaces and integrations.
- Experience delivering secure, accessible, public or enterprise facing web applications.
- U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder (no sponsorship); able to obtain a Public Trust if the contract requires it.
NICE TO HAVE
- Section 508 and accessibility compliant development.
- Continuous integration and delivery pipelines, version control, and automated testing.
- Full lifecycle delivery in a federal or other regulated environment with a formal SDLC.
- Experience with Active Server Pages, Visual Basic, and Microsoft Access.
- VA or VHA program experience, and prior Provider Directory or healthcare master data management work.
