The team/project:
We are excited to announce that we are setting up a new team in Riga, and we are looking for talented individuals to join us.
As one of the first engineers in this team, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact and be part of a dynamic and innovative work environment.
You will be part of the Online Product Development team responsible for building and evolving customer-facing digital platforms. These platforms are used by thousands of customers to manage subscriptions, review bills, purchase products, and access self-service capabilities.
This role combines strong fullstack engineering expertise with mentoring, technical decision-making, and delivery coordination responsibilities. Responsible for the technical leadership and coordination of the nearshore team in close collaboration with the Swiss-based Product Owner.
As a Full-stack Developer you will:
Design, develop, and maintain fullstack web applications using Ruby on Rails, React, and modern frontend technologies
Contribute to the future transition toward TypeScript-based applications (potentially Angular)
Lead technical discussions, architecture decisions, and code quality practices together with the Swiss engineering team
Review code, mentor engineers, and promote engineering best practices across the team
Coordinate delivery activities with the Product Owner and stakeholders in Switzerland
Support backlog refinement, effort estimation, and sprint planning activities
Ensure production stability, incident follow-up, and continuous improvement of applications and processes
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, Docker-based environments, and engineering automation

Salary from 4800 to 6800 EUR monthly gross
80 EUR monthly cell phone and internet allowance

Requirements
Senior proficiency in any web development language
Experience working with Ruby and React, or willingness to learn
Comfortable working across backend and frontend topics
Hands-on mindset with strong ownership and communication skills
Curiosity and eagerness to learn
Willingness to mentor juniors in the team
Fluent in English
