About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and skilled Full Stack Developer to join our growing team in Kuala Lumpur. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in modern web application development using TypeScript, Node.js, Next.js, AWS services, and automated testing frameworks.

As part of the hiring process, candidates will be required to complete a coding assessment covering the technical skills listed below. Candidates without exposure to these technologies are unlikely to succeed in the assessment.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using TypeScript, Node.js, and Next.js.
  • Build and integrate APIs using GraphQL.
  • Develop cloud-native solutions leveraging AWS services.
  • Implement and maintain automated testing for applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance application performance.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.

Required Skills

Core Technical Skills

  • TypeScript
  • Node.js
  • Next.js
  • GraphQL

AWS Experience

Hands-on experience with:

  • AWS Lambda
  • DynamoDB
  • Amazon SQS
  • AWS Secrets Manager

Testing Experience

  • Unit Testing using Jest or Vitest
  • End-to-End (E2E) Testing using Playwright or Cypress

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 1-2 years of hands-on experience in:
    • TypeScript
    • Node.js
    • Next.js
    • GraphQL
    • AWS Services
  • Minimum 6 months of experience in automated testing using:
    • Jest or Vitest
    • Cypress or Playwright

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of software development best practices.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Important Note

All shortlisted candidates will undergo a technical coding assessment covering:

  • TypeScript
  • Node.js
  • Next.js
  • AWS (Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, Secrets Manager)
  • GraphQL
  • Unit Testing (Jest/Vitest)
  • E2E Testing (Playwright/Cypress)

Candidates should have practical exposure to all of the above technologies to be successful in the assessment process.
