Who are we looking for?
The Senior Software Developer is responsible for creating modern, scalable, secure, and maintainable code for productivity focussed solutions. They can take an idea and run with it, turning it into something useful and beautiful.
The ideal person will have solid hands-on skills across a full development stack. They will build high-quality, scalable solutions and contribute to implementing and maintaining modern development, coding, and deployment practices across the team.
What will you do in Converge Health?
- Build and evolve productivity solutions across the full stack (UI + APIs + services).
- Develop product features end-to-end: requirements → design → build → test → deploy.
- Implement backend services in NodeJS and Java.
- Build modern web UI in React (TypeScript preferred) with a focus on usability for end users.
- Design and consume RESTful APIs, including authentication/authorisation and role-based access.
- Write automated unit and integration tests and improve test coverage over time.
- Maintain accurate delivery visibility using internal tracking and clear written updates.
- Act as a technical lead, guiding projects and mentoring engineers.
- Promote best engineering practices including testing, observability, and documentation.
- Work closely with integration specialists and customers to turn real workflow pain into product functionality.
What will you bring to Converge Health?
- Strong React experience (and solid modern JavaScript/TypeScript fundamentals).
- Strong Java/NodeJS experience building production APIs/services.
- Experience with web standards, browser behaviour, and building responsive UIs.
- Proven experience consuming and designing REST APIs.
- Practical understanding of security fundamentals (OWASP basics, secure auth, handling PHI/PII safely).
- Comfortable in a fast-moving environment where priorities sharpen as customer feedback arrives.
You will REALLY stand out if you also have following:
- Experience with medical imaging workflow orchestration and messaging (DICOM, DICOMweb, MWL, routing, storage).
- Familiarity with healthcare messaging standards (HL7, FHIR, CCDA).
- Strong .NET Core (C#) experience.
- Exposure to cloud services in AWS or Azure, including containerization (Docker), IaC, CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with high‑traffic or transactional systems.
- Experience with observability tooling (structured logging, metrics, tracing).
- Experience writing automated frontend tests (Jest/Playwright/Cypress) and API/integration tests.
- You’ve owned a product/service in production for 12+ months and improved it continuously.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or an equivalent degree (preferred).
