Senior Full Stack Developer (8+ years of experience)
Project Overview
This client is building an Enterprise API platform to consolidate multiple APIs from different teams/applications into a single, coherent catalog — accessible by both external clients and internal teams.
Your Role:
- Building and exposing new APIs
- Publishing and maintaining APIs in production
- Supporting internal dev teams onboarding onto the API infrastructure
- Leveraging AI coding assistant tools responsibly — validating outputs, ensuring security and accuracy, and applying sound engineering judgment
- Designing and developing scalable, high‑performing microservices using Python, Node.js, React, and SQL
- Participating in the application lifecycle: coding, debugging, and continuous improvement under the guidance of senior team members
- Heavy focus on API building and versioning
- Gathering and helping address technical and design requirements in collaboration with Architecture and DevOps teams
- Creating and executing test cases aligned to user stories, including UI performance testing, to ensure quality coverage
- Participating in peer code reviews, giving and receiving feedback to grow skills and uphold team standards
- Supporting production systems for products — contributing to incident triage, resolution, and root cause analysis with team support
- Communicating proactively on task progress and taking ownership of assigned deliverables
Must Haves:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
- Proven experience using AI coding agents
- API experience is a must
- 8+ years of application development experience
- 3+ years of programming experience in Node.js and Typescript
- 3+ years of experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, GCP
- Experience with CICD tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, or CodePipeline
- Experience with project management tools such as JIRA
- Knowledge of the financial industry is highly desirable
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively in a global team environment
Differentials:
- Experience with AWS services such as Lambda, S3, ECS, etc.
- Experience in the financial services industry, especially if related to fund accounting
Salary Range: CAD $120,000-$150,000
Permanent Full Time
