Chihuahua, Mexico | Posted on 07/06/2026
Job Description
Startup Chihuahua builds the technology that powers an innovation ecosystem across Mexico.
We democratize access to innovation: we run accelerator programs, evaluate startups and pitch decks, and manage financial operations for nonprofit organizations.
Our products handle real money, real tax compliance, and real impact for organizations.
We're a small, fast‐moving engineering team that ships every day and leans heavily on modern tooling, including AI, to punch above our weight.
WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON
You'll contribute across two flagship products:
FinCore
: a financial‐management platform for Mexican nonprofits: vendors, invoices, CFDI tax compliance, budgets, treasury, and payments.
Built with React 19, Vite, Tailwind, and Supabase (PostgreSQL + Edge Functions).
Ecosistema
: the CRM and management platform for our programs: cohorts, applications, events, and AI‐powered pitch‐deck evaluation.
Built with Next.js 15, React 19, MongoDB, and Zod.
You'll ship features end to end, from the database and API to the UI, alongside engineers who will review your code and help you grow.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
This is a junior role, offered as a 6‐month contract.
We care more about how you think, how quickly you learn, and how adaptable you are to change than about years of experience.
Requirements
Experience building projects: internships, school projects, personal projects, or a bootcamp all count, show that you know your craft
Curiosity, ownership, and a habit of finishing what you start
Comfortable communicating in Spanish and English
Willingness to work on‐site in Chihuahua
NICE TO HAVE (bonus, not required)
Experience with Next.js or a backend framework
Familiarity with PostgreSQL, Supabase, or MongoDB
Exposure to Tailwind CSS
Experience using AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot)
Interest in LLMs / AWS Bedrock, fintech, or the Mexican startup ecosystem
Experience deploying to AWS and similar services
Client support: handling questions, gathering requirements, and communicating with clients directly
Familiarity with testing best practices and platforms (Jest, Playwright, Cypress, Postman)
Work on products that move real money and real impact in Mexico
Small team, big ownership, your code ships to production, very fast
Be part of Chihuahua's growing innovation and startup community
Possibility of extension or conversion to a longer‐term role based on performance and fit
Tell us in a couple of sentences why this role interests you and how you can contribute to Startup Chihuahua.
This is a hybrid position: 2 days on‐site in Chihuahua and 3 days remote.
Payment will be issued under honorarios (professional services fee, invoiced monthly), in the range of $10,000 - $15,000 MXN per month plus IVA.
