Senior Full Stack Engineer

Role Purpose

The Senior Engineer – building and maintaining products for use in the Australian Superannuation sector as part of the Apex ecosystem.

The candidate should have strong knowledge of Next.js and React with TypeScript, along with C# and web technologies such as HTML and CSS/SASS. A development focused degree or significant previous experience with development methodologies and best practices is mandatory. A reasonable knowledge of the Australian Superannuation domain is highly preferred and exposure to basic accounting is desirable.

Accountabilities & Deliverables

• Developing and maintaining software programs in accordance with programming specifications. This includes (but is not limited to):
• Strong C# development skills
• TypeScript and JavaScript development with hands-on experience in Next.js and React (HTML and CSS/SASS)
• Experience working with REST WebServices
• Database design and performance profiling
• Building performant solutions that factor in platform constraints
• Writing detailed solutions based on basic requirements.
• Liaising with Business Analysts, Development and Quality Assurance team members to clarify technical requirements and implement the required functionality.
• Assisting with troubleshooting and diagnosis of issues and defects within the scope of Acurity functionality.
• Providing client support to address specific client needs
• Operate in Novigi dynamic environment across multiple applications
• Participate in reviews of functionality from a technical and security perspective.

Core Skills, Knowledge and Attributes

• IT / Computer Science degree or other tertiary qualification related to development and / or development best practices.
• 5 years minimum working experience as a developer using Next.js, React, C# and web related technologies.
• Desirable - Knowledge of the Australian Superannuation domain
• Desirable - Knowledge and development experience using the Apex digital product set

• Experience with AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, etc.)
• Familiarity with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) and prompt engineering
• Knowledge of AI integration in web applications
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
• Strong analytical, problem solving skill and high attention to detail
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies as required
• Ability to build solid working relationships with internal staff and clients
