We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer for a client in the banking industry in the Netherlands. In this role, you will help build and evolve the payment infrastructure behind one of the country's most-used mobile applications, supporting millions of users and processing real-time financial transactions.
You will design, develop, and optimize cloud-native payment solutions across both frontend and backend. Working closely with engineers, architects, and stakeholders, you'll contribute to the technical direction of the platform while building highly scalable, resilient, and secure systems in a regulated payments environment.
Your Job
- Designing and developing scalable payment solutions across frontend and backend
- Building and maintaining cloud-native microservices on AWS
- Contributing to solution architecture and technical design decisions
- Developing applications using TypeScript, Node.js, React, and Java/Spring Boot
- Building and maintaining Infrastructure as Code using AWS CDK and CloudFormation
- Working with AWS services including ECS, Lambda, DynamoDB, SNS, and SQS
- Improving system performance, scalability, resilience, and security
- Supporting CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
- Applying AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot in day-to-day engineering
- Mentoring engineers and driving engineering best practices across the team
Your Profile
- Senior-level experience building large-scale digital products or platforms
- Experience within the payments domain (payment processing, transaction flows, PSD2, gateways, wallets, or acquiring)
- Strong experience designing and building microservices architectures
- Hands-on experience with AWS, including CloudFormation, ECS, Lambda, DynamoDB, SNS, and SQS
- Strong development experience with TypeScript, Node.js, React, and Java/Spring Boot
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code using AWS CDK
- Experience working with GitHub, GitHub Actions, and modern CI/CD pipelines
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or similar
- Background in banking or fintech is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with both technical and business stakeholders
