Job Type: Long-Term Contract
Compensation: $70-$75/hour (W2)
We are seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Engineer with deep expertise in Node.js and React.js to design, develop, and support enterprise-scale web applications. The ideal candidate has extensive experience building modern, scalable applications using JavaScript technologies and RESTful APIs while working in an Agile environment.
Note: Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance prior to starting.
Responsibilities- Architect, design, develop, and maintain modern web applications using Node.js and React.js.
- Build responsive single-page applications (SPA) and secure RESTful APIs.
- Develop scalable backend services using Express.js and related technologies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across frontend, backend, middleware, and database layers.
- Write clean, maintainable, and high-quality code following software engineering best practices.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, retrospectives, and demos.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver enterprise solutions.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical design discussions.
- 10+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Node.js
- React.js
- JavaScript/TypeScript
- Express.js
- Redux or Flux
- Extensive experience developing RESTful APIs.
- Strong understanding of frontend architecture and backend design patterns.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, including complex SQL queries and query optimization.
- Experience working in Agile (Scrum/Kanban) development environments.
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Experience mentoring software engineers.

- Master's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience, or
- Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of relevant experience, or
- 13+ years of equivalent professional experience.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance.
- Must be able to work onsite in Woodlawn, MD, five days per week.
