Senior Full Stack Engineers | Ruby on Rails | PropTech

We are working with an exciting PropTech startup who are hiring multiple Senior Full Stack Engineers (Ruby on Rails, React, AWS) to join the team. These are high-impact roles in a business has already proven product-market fit, is generating revenue from major clients, and is entering an exciting growth phase with strong momentum and backing.

About the role

As a Senior (or Lead) Full Stack Engineer, you’ll collaborate closely with product, design, data, and software engineering teams to deliver high-quality software while contributing to the evolution of the platform, engineering standards, and technical direction.

The team values curiosity, experimentation, and continuous learning. AI-assisted engineering workflows are increasingly embedded into how they build software, and the team regularly shares new tooling, workflows, and ideas they’ve discovered. They’re looking for engineers who are excited by the evolution of modern software development and want to be part of shaping it.

This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Sydney.

The team will rely on you to:

• Build, ship, and maintain scalable backend and frontend systems across the full stack.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to deliver features that solve meaningful customer problems.
• Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code with a strong focus on quality and pragmatism.
• Contribute to architectural discussions, technical planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work effectively within a collaborative, highly autonomous engineering culture.
• Help improve engineering practices, tooling, and development workflows across the team.
• Operate comfortably within a startup environment where priorities can evolve quickly.
• Mentor other developers, contribute to longer-term technical strategy, and drive engineering best practices across the platform.

Your background:

• Experience building modern software products across the full stack.
• Strong experience with Ruby on Rails, React, and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with AWS infrastructure and CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions.
• Experience working in startup, scale-up, or high-growth product environments.

Bonus points if you also have:

• Curiosity around AI-assisted development workflows and emerging engineering tooling.
• Experience with Docker and Terraform.
• Experience with observability tooling such as Prometheus and OpenTelemetry.
• Experience within proptech, fintech, insurance or other fast-paced product environments.
