This role is hybrid and requires you to be at our downtown Toronto and/or Client office (Scarborough) at a minimum 3 days per week - subject to change at any time.
Your future duties and responsibilities
Active participant during Requirement Phase, create dev work packages, drive solution design, and all project execution within the onsite‑offshore delivery model.
Adhere to coding standards and best practices; perform technical design, code reviews, and development activities (Design, Development, Unit Testing, Development Integrated Testing).
Support and troubleshoot technical issues during development, QA System Integrated/User Acceptance testing, and production support.
Coach, guide, and review deliverables from the extended offshore team if applicable.
Provide daily/weekly status activities to the client team in a timely manner.
Role may require on‑call production support activities, as determined with the client.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Familiar with both waterfall and agile SDLC life cycles.
5+ years of hands‑on development experience in Java.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability in working with onsite‑offshore delivery models.
Educational qualification: University / College level degree in Information Technology.
Key Technical Skills
Programming Experience: JAVA/J2EE, Spring Rest Services, Microservices, OAuth 2.0, ReactJS, JavaScript, Ext JS, Swagger/Open API, Node.js.
DevOps Knowledge: Jenkins, GitHub, JFrog Artifactory, Ansible, Jira, Confluence, Azure, OpenShift.
Service Discovery and Routing: HAProxy, Apache Web Server, F5.
Messaging: Kafka.
The company is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $80,000–$130,000. This role is an existing vacancy.
