Job DescriptionResponsibilities
- Recommend, justify, and implement major changes to the web application architecture
- Provide technical leadership and expertise during the development/implementation phase
- Collaborate with UI Designer to prototype the user experience during the design phase
- Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues in the web application
- Propose and evaluate changes to the deployment architecture to improve performance, scalability, and/or manageability
Qualifications
- Expert programmer in Java
- Thorough understanding of Java EE architecture, with a focus on EJBs, JPA, and JAX-RS web services
- Experience writing RESTful web services
- Have worked within a microservices architecture
- Ability to communicate technical design concepts to business and technical stakeholders
- Operate at the leading edge of technology
- Experience with virtualization technologies like Oracle VM and VMWare
- Have spent time as part of an agile development team (preferably Scrum)
- 8+ years of industry experience.
