Our client is seeking a Lead Full Stack Java Developer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys both hands-on development and leading technical initiatives.
In this role, you’ll help build and scale modern applications while driving projects forward, mentoring team members, and improving processes end-to-end.
This is a contract to hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. Rate: $80.00 to $85.00/hr. w2
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Angular
- Lead and contribute to end-to-end system design and development, ensuring high-quality, maintainable code
- Drive technical projects forward, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and priorities stay aligned
- Partner with stakeholders to understand business processes and translate them into optimal technical solutions
- Identify and implement process improvements across the SDLC, from development through deployment
- Leverage AI tools and technologies to improve coding efficiency, automation, and development workflows
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members, guiding best practices and coding standards
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, QA, and other engineering teams
- Act as a technical lead on projects, ensuring work is properly scoped, assigned, and tracked
- Coordinate team efforts to keep initiatives on schedule and align with goals
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in full-stack development
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Java
- Spring Boot
- Angular
- Proven experience leading projects or guiding engineering teams
- Experience analyzing business workflows and translating them into technical solutions
- Comfort working across the full development lifecycle
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., code generation, automation, optimization tools)
- Strong understanding of system design and architecture
- Experience improving or optimizing engineering processes and workflows
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
