Lead Full Stack Java Developer
Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
Required Qualifications/Skills/Experience:
- 7–10+ years of software development experience with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React).
- Proven experience designing and building scalable full stack and microservices-based architectures.
- Advanced understanding of application architecture principles, design patterns, and system integration.
- Strong knowledge of backend development, API design, and distributed systems.
- Front-end expertise in building modern, responsive user interfaces using Angular/React, HTML5, and CSS.
- Deep experience with SQL/PLSQL and relational databases (Oracle preferred).
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools (e.g., Maven, Gradle, Jenkins, Docker, OpenShift).
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working in Agile environments using tools such as JIRA.
Preferred Qualifications/Skills/Experience:
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS).
- Familiarity with AI tools and their application in development workflows.
Overview:
The Lead Full Stack Java Developer is a senior technical leadership role responsible for architecting, designing, and delivering complex, scalable application systems in partnership with the Technology team. This role provides end-to-end ownership of application development across front-end and back-end technologies while influencing enterprise architecture and engineering standards. The position focuses on delivering secure, scalable, and high-performing solutions through modern full stack development using Java, Spring Boot, JavaScript frameworks, microservices, APIs, cloud-native technologies, and DevOps practices. The role also partners with business and technology stakeholders, mentors development teams, drives innovation through modern engineering practices, and ensures adherence to governance, compliance, and risk management standards.
Job Duties:
- Lead the design, architecture, and implementation of full stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, and modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React).
- Drive end-to-end ownership of application delivery from requirements and design through development, testing, and deployment.
- Define and enforce best practices for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
- Partner with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams to align technology solutions with business objectives.
- Resolve complex technical challenges through analysis of business processes, system flows, and industry standards.
- Provide architectural guidance and ensure systems are scalable, resilient, secure, and high-performing.
- Lead the development of microservices, REST/GraphQL APIs, and cloud-native solutions.
- Utilize advanced knowledge of data structures, object-oriented design, and system integration patterns.
- Drive innovation through adoption of CI/CD, DevOps, and AI-assisted development tools.
- Mentor and coach junior and mid-level developers by providing technical leadership and oversight.
- Contribute to strategic planning by identifying opportunities for system enhancements and process optimization.
- Ensure adherence to risk, governance, and compliance standards while proactively managing system and operational risks.
