Responsibilities
- Design and develop backend services using Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA following secured API‑first principles.
- Design and develop frontend applications using Angular, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS, ensuring usability, accessibility, and performance.
- Implement and maintain RESTful APIs and integrations with upstream and downstream enterprise systems.
- Develop and maintain database schemas and queries using RDBMS technologies.
- Ensure solutions meet non‑functional requirements including security, performance, resiliency, logging and monitoring.
- Apply secure coding practices and support vulnerability remediation and dependency management.
- Translate user needs into technical specifications by understanding, conceptualizing, and facilitating technical requirements from user.
- Analyze, develop, test, and implement new software programs, and document the entire software development life cycle execution.
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting and fault rectification of system and core software components.
- Ensure that code/configurations adhere to the security, logging, error handling, and performance standards and non‑functional requirements.
- Evaluate new technologies for fit with the program/system/ecosystem and the associated upstream and downstream impacts on process, data, and risk.
- Follow release management processes and standards, and apply version controls.
- Assist in interpreting and documentation of client requirements.
- Focus is primarily on business/group within BMO; may have broader, enterprise‑wide focus.
- Exercise judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules.
- Work independently on a range of complex tasks, which may include unique situations.
- Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.

Working Knowledge / Exposure:

Education & Experience
- Typically 4-6 years of relevant full stack development experience.
- Post‑secondary degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Technical proficiency gained through education and/or business experience in enterprise environments.
Hybrid Work Arrangement
Hybrid – 2/3 days a week in the office.

$61,600.00 - $113,900.00
