Full stack Java development lead

Position Description:

Lead and implement initiatives as required to deliver business objectives.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Decompose business requirements and translate them into detailed design specifications and code.
Design solutions, write code, perform unit testing, develop appropriate artifacts/documentation, and facilitate final delivery.
Assess impact of design decisions on the product/service being developed (e.g., performance, schedule, budget, downstream component/system impact, quality, etc.) and recommend alternate/creative solutions for mitigation/optimization if required.
Drive meetings with subject matter experts from business including infrastructure, operations, applications, vendors and leads to seek input and plan/coordinate development, define requirements and timelines. Monitor and track performance, and address any issues.
Build solutions that are supportable, scalable and achieve our aspiration of common assets.
Recommend or automate approaches to streamline and integrate technological processes and/or systems to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Stay abreast of industry technical and business trends through participation in professional associations, practice communities & individual learning.
Candidate is expected to spend 60-70% of the time playing a lead role and 30-40% on development activities.
Candidate will act as interface between Business and Technology.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

9+ years of Java Fullstack Development hands‑on experience and have managed the team of developers in an onshore‑offshore model.
Angular (minimum Angular 12 up to latest 18), Java (1.8 minimum) and AWS, Lambda experience required.
Nice to have: Spring Boot, Node.js, CDK, Fargate, etc.
Other tools/technologies/frameworks: APIs, REST/JSON, SOAP/XML, Swagger, OpenAPI, microservices architecture, Kafka, Redux, OAuth – will be nice to have.
Experience with cloud services and DevOps concepts: OpenShift, Docker, Kubernetes, Artifactory, BitBucket, Bamboo, Ansible, GitHub.
Comfortable working in an Agile/SCRUM setting – ability to manage multiple priorities; ability to adapt to changing priorities.
AWS Developer and AWS Architect Professional Certification desired.
Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
