Job - Full Stack Software Developer / Dev Ops (Ottawa Based)
We are looking for a software developer with front-end and back-end skills, as well as mobile app development (iOS and/or Android) and AWS Dev Ops experience.
Core Qualifications (Must-Have)
- 4+ years building production backend systems with TypeScript/Node.js
- Hands‑on AWS serverless experience: Lambda, API Gateway, CDK, SQS
- Solid data‑layer experience with NoSQL database systems (MongoDB and Redis – modeling, performance, reliability)
- Experience working with RESTful API design and implementation
- Strong testing and quality discipline (unit/integration tests, ESLint)
- Manage CI/CD pipelines through GitHub Actions & Workflows
- Comfortable in architecture patterns (Clean Architecture / DDD‑style layering / Design Patterns)
- Ability to work in cross‑functional product teams and own features end‑to‑end
- Writes clean, maintainable, and well‑structured code, with attention to reliability and performance
- Monitors live production systems and proactively acts when issues or anomalies are detected
- Embraces experiments and rapid prototyping as part of the product roll‑out process
- A proactive, self‑starter developer who takes ownership, identifies issues independently, and drives solutions without needing constant direction
- Continuous improvement mindset; constantly looking for ways to improve the product, codebase, architecture, and development workflows
- Takes end‑to‑end responsibility for the features they develop, from implementation to stability and long‑term maintainability
Additional Qualifications (Nice-to-Have)
- React + TypeScript frontend experience (Vite/Jest/Cypress stack)
- Python service/ML pipeline familiarity (gait analyzer uses Python, TensorFlow, NumPy/SciPy stack)
- Android: Kotlin, Compose, Hilt
- iOS: Swift, MVVM‑C, RxSwift
- Healthcare or regulated‑domain mindset (privacy, reliability, traceability) as well as previous experience in the health tech domain
- Familiarity with cybersecurity, data management and privacy standards, including SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR and ISO 27001
- Experience integrating third‑party platforms (Auth0, Stripe, Twilio, Datadog)
