- £650–£750 per day via Umbrella
- Initial contract until November 2026
- Hybrid – 3 days per week on-site in Pilsworth, Bury

Our client is a globally recognised retailer investing heavily in modern engineering practices to transform its digital commerce platforms. As part of this programme, they're building dedicated Marketplace and Conversion Optimisation squads and are looking for experienced Senior / Principal Full Stack Engineers to help shape the next generation of customer-facing digital products.
THE SENIOR / PRINCIPAL FULL STACK ENGINEER ROLE
This is far more than a traditional Senior Developer position. As a Senior / Principal Full Stack Engineer, you'll act as an Engineering Catalyst—leading through hands‑on delivery while raising engineering capability across the wider team.
You’ll design, build and deploy scalable cloud-native applications using React, Next.js, Node.js, TypeScript and AWS, working closely with Product Managers, Business Analysts and QA teams to deliver customer-focused digital solutions. You’ll own features from discovery through to production, champion software craftsmanship, improve CI/CD pipelines, embed automated testing and mentor fellow engineers through pairing and technical leadership.
You’ll also help shape architecture decisions, improve engineering tooling and developer experience, and drive continuous improvement across the software delivery lifecycle.
SENIOR / PRINCIPAL FULL STACK ENGINEER ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- Strong commercial experience as a Full Stack Engineer
- React and/or Next.js Node.js and TypeScript AWS cloud-native development
- REST APIs and microservices
- CI/CD and modern DevOps practices
- GitHub and modern Git workflows
- Automated testing
- Agile software delivery
- Experience mentoring engineers through hands‑on delivery
