What You'll Be Doing
Full Stack Development
- Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software applications using .NET, C#, and Python .
- Build responsive, intuitive, and engaging user interfaces using modern front-end technologies such as Angular, Vue.js, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript .
- Develop robust back-end services, APIs, and integrations that support scalable and reliable applications.
- Ensure solutions are optimized for performance, maintainability, and security.
Architecture & Solution Design
- Collaborate with stakeholders, developers, and business teams to gather requirements and design effective technical solutions.
- Contribute to application architecture decisions and system design discussions.
- Apply best practices and modern development methodologies throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Database & Cloud Technologies
- Design and manage database solutions across platforms such as MS SQL, MySQL, SQLite, MongoDB, and Oracle .
- Implement efficient data models, ensuring data integrity, security, and performance.
- Develop and deploy cloud-based applications using Microsoft Azure .
- Utilize messaging technologies such as RabbitMQ to enable reliable communication between services.
Continuous Improvement
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to a culture of technical excellence and knowledge sharing.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues while continuously improving system performance.
- Stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices to drive innovation within the development team.
What We're Looking For
Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering , or a related field, or an equivalent NQF Level 7 qualification.
Experience
- Minimum 8 years of professional software development experience .
- Strong commercial experience in both C# and Python development.
- Proven experience working across the full software development lifecycle in agile environments.
Technical Expertise
Essential:- Microsoft Visual Studio and the .NET Framework .
- C#, Python, and object-oriented programming principles.
- REST APIs and web services.
- SQL database technologies, including MS SQL, MySQL, SQLite, and Oracle .
- HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, and jQuery.
- Modern front-end frameworks, including Angular and Vue.js .
- MVC architecture, Entity Framework, and LINQ.
- Microsoft Azure cloud technologies.
Advantageous:
- Xamarin mobile application development for Android and iOS.
- Windows Communication Foundation (WCF ).
- Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF ).
- Experience with message broker technologies such as RabbitMQ .
- Experience working with MongoDB and distributed systems.
