Pedros is investing in building software in-house. Our Technology & Innovation team is developing a modern, Type Script-based platform that powers voucher management, point-of-sale integration, and customer-facing digital products across our franchise network.
We are looking for a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to help design, build, and operate this platform end-to-end, from the API and database layer through to the React front-ends and the infrastructure that runs them in production. This is a hands-on engineering role with real ownership: you will ship features used across the business, take the lead on architectural decisions as the platform grows, and help raise the engineering bar across the team.
Duties And Responsibilities Build and maintain features across the full stack, a shared Type Script API and multiple front-end applications, taking ownership from design through deployment. Design and evolve data models, API endpoints, and access-control rules with correctness, security, and maintainability as first-class concerns. Contribute to our shared component and design-system library, ensuring a consistent, high-quality user experience across applications. Integrate with external systems, including point-of-sale devices, identity providers, and transactional services. Help operate the platform in production: containerised deployments, secrets management, database migrations, and diagnosing issues across the stack. Write clear, well-tested, well-documented code, and participate in code review to uphold engineering standards across the team. Collaborate closely with product and operations stakeholders to translate business needs into reliable software. Our Technology Stack:You Should Be Comfortable Working Across a Modern Type Script Stack And Eager To Learn The Rest. The Specific Tools Below Are Illustrative Examples Of Each Category, Not a Fixed Checklist
Language – primary language used across the entire stack (must-have)- example Type Script. Runtime & Tooling – JS/TS runtime and monorepo workplace tooling – example Bun (workspace monorepo). Backend – Web framework, authentication library, and access -control model – example Hono, Better-Auth, attribute-based access control. Data – Relational database, ORM and data protection approach – example Postgre SQL, Drizzle ORM, encryption at rest. Frontend – UI framework, build tooling, data-fetching, styling, shared components – example – React, Vite, Tan Stack Query, Tailwind CSS. Infrastructure – containerisation and orchestration, reverse proxy – example Docker, Docker Swarm, Traefik. Identity – Enterprise identity / federation and auth protocol – Microsoft Entra, OAuth. Requirements 5+ years of solid professional experience building production web applications with Type Script and React. Strong command of both front-end (React, state management, responsive UI) and back-end (HTTP APIs, relational databases, SQL) development. Good understanding of relational data modelling and writing efficient, correct database queries. Familiarity with authentication, authorisation, and secure handling of sensitive data. Comfort with Git-based workflows, code review, and automated testing. Clear written and verbal communication, and the ability to work effectively on-site with a collaborative team. A track record of owning features or systems end-to-end and making sound architectural decisions. Experience mentoring engineers and raising the quality bar within a team. Practical experience operating applications in production (containers, deployments, observability, incident diagnosis). Advantageous Experience with Bun, Hono, Drizzle, or similar modern Type Script tooling. Experience with Docker Swarm/Kubernetes, reverse proxies (Traefik/Nginx), or CI/CD pipelines. Exposure to monorepo tooling, design systems, or PWA development. Domain experience in retail, franchising, payments, or point-of-sale systems. #J-18808-LjbffrBy continuing you agree to our Terms & Privacy Policy.
