Aura 300 builds AI-powered receptionists and customer engagement agents for salons, clinics, and service-based businesses. Our AI team develops voice, SMS, WhatsApp, and web-based assistants that handle bookings, customer support, lead management, and business automation at scale.

We are looking for a highly capable Senior Full Stack Software Engineer who can help design, build, and scale the systems powering our AI products and integrations.

What You'll DoAI Platform Development

• Design, build, and maintain the systems powering Aura's AI agents, including Emma, Yuki, Nami, Lisa, and future products.
• Develop services supporting conversational AI, LLM integrations, voice workflows, SMS, WhatsApp, and customer communication channels.
• Build scalable backend services that support high-volume customer interactions.

Full Stack Product Development

• Develop and maintain both backend services and customer-facing web applications.
• Build intuitive internal tools, dashboards, monitoring systems, and operational interfaces.
• Collaborate with product and AI teams to deliver new features from concept to production.

Integrations & APIs

• Own integrations with leading salon, clinic, and business management platforms including Phorest, Kitomba, Fresha, Shortcuts, Timely, Ovatu, Client Diary, AesthetiDocs, Hairware, and future partners.
• Design and maintain robust APIs and integration services.
• Troubleshoot and optimize synchronization, reliability, and performance across third-party systems.

Infrastructure & Reliability

• Help manage cloud infrastructure, deployment pipelines, monitoring, and production environments.
• Improve system scalability, availability, security, and observability.
• Participate in architecture discussions and technical decision-making.

Quality & Engineering Excellence

• Contribute to automated testing, QA frameworks, and release processes.
• Maintain high standards for code quality, performance, and documentation.
• Assist in incident investigation and root-cause analysis.

Team Collaboration

• Work closely with AI engineers, product managers, customer success teams, and leadership.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering best practices.
• Participate in technical planning and architecture reviews.
  

RequirementsMust Have

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong experience building modern web applications and APIs.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with React, Next.js, Node.js, or similar modern frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
• Experience designing and consuming REST APIs.
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AI, LLMs, conversational systems, or agentic workflows.
• Experience integrating with third-party SaaS platforms.
• Experience with telephony platforms such as Twilio, CloudTalk, or similar.
• Experience with Docker, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation.
• Experience leading projects or mentoring engineers.
• Familiarity with HIPAA, healthcare, or data privacy requirements.
