Join a small, high-impact engineering team at Philogen to transform core business processes into secure, production-grade software and AI systems in a highly regulated biotech setting. You will own the platform, its infrastructure, and production deployments across backend, frontend, and AI execution environments. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, compliant solutions that support clinical operations, R&D, finance, and corporate functions. - Build and operate Python services, APIs, CLIs, and full-stack workflows using TypeScript, React, and Next.js
- Provision and run GCP and Kubernetes infrastructure through Pulumi, including databases, object storage, networking, secrets, deployments, and recovery procedures
- Create secure AI agent execution environments with sandboxing, workload identity, network isolation, and session management
- Integrate model providers and agent SDKs with streaming, tool calls, cancellation, and long-running execution
- Implement authentication, RBAC, least-privilege access, auditability, and compliance controls
- Own production reliability across application and infrastructure layers through testing, observability, incident diagnosis, and safe deployments
- Design and ship agent-driven user experiences spanning chat, files, interactive tools, and data-intensive workflows
- 5+ years of full-time software engineering in production
- Strong Python and TypeScript skills across backend and frontend
- Strong SQL and database fundamentals including schema evolution and recovery
- Production experience with Kubernetes and at least one major cloud platform (GCP or AWS)
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Pulumi or Terraform)
- Understanding of containers, Linux, networking, secrets, service identities, and deployment automation
- Experience designing authentication, authorization, RBAC, and audit-sensitive workflows
- Experience leading substantial deployments or owning production services after release
- Strong focus on least privilege, data residency, encryption, and secure software design
- Active engagement with modern AI development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Codex)
- Ability to translate operational needs for non-technical stakeholders
