Responsibilities
Help define and build the next generation of high-touch pricing and trading workflow applications for Options traders.
Partner directly with traders, quantitative researchers, and business leaders to design workflows that improve pricing, execution, and risk management.
Build full stack applications spanning modern web frontends, backend services, APIs, and distributed systems.
Develop intuitive, high-performance user interfaces that enable traders to research, monitor, price, and execute trades in real time.
Design scalable backend services that support pricing, workflow orchestration, market data, and trading operations.
Build next-generation click trading applications that allow traders to rapidly view market depth, manage orders, and execute complex trading strategies.
Develop applications that enable traders to monitor, configure, and control distributed pricing and trading engines, providing real-time visibility into system health, trading state, and operational workflows.
Build sophisticated risk visualization and decision-support tools that help traders understand portfolio risk, pricing behaviour, and execution opportunities in rapidly changing markets.
Design workflow applications that seamlessly integrate pricing, execution, market data, and risk management into intuitive user experiences.
Build systems that enable Citadel Securities to support new markets, exchanges, and option products as the global Options business continues to expand.
Prototype new ideas rapidly and evolve them into robust, production-grade systems.
Continuously improve the performance, scalability, stability, and usability of mission-critical trading applications.
Collaborate across engineering, quantitative research, and trading teams to translate complex financial concepts into intuitive software.
Qualifications
Strong experience building full stack applications using modern frontend and backend technologies.
Proficiency with TypeScript and React.
Experience designing scalable backend services using C++ or Python.
Experience building distributed systems and service-oriented architectures.
Strong understanding of API design, asynchronous systems, and event-driven architectures.
Passion for creating intuitive user experiences through thoughtful interaction design and rapid prototyping.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to solve open-ended technical challenges.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred
Experience working with trading systems, financial markets, or capital markets technology.
Knowledge of options, derivatives, OTC products, or market structure.
Experience building visualization tools for complex datasets.
Experience designing software in close partnership with end users.
