Full Stack Software Engineer
Java | GCP | Greenfield Project
Sydney - Office & WFH | 6 Month Contract | Up to $1,100/day
We're looking for an experienced Full Stack Developer to join a major Australian enterprise and help build a brand-new cloud-native platform from the ground up.
Working alongside an experienced Engineering Manager and Senior Technical Lead, you'll play a key role in delivering modern backend services, APIs and integrations within a true Greenfield environment.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Strong commercial experience developing applications using Java
- Experience building backend APIs and enterprise applications
- Commercial cloud experience (GCP preferred, AWS or Azure also considered)
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines
- Strong understanding of modern software engineering practices
- Experience working within Agile engineering teams
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

- Temporal workflow engine
- GitHub Actions
This role sits within a Greenfield engineering team responsible for building a new creative publishing workflow platform.
You'll contribute to:
- Building modern backend services
- Developing REST APIs
- Integrating multiple enterprise systems
- Creating new cloud-native applications
- Building scalable database solutions
- Working closely with senior engineers on architecture and delivery
