Our challenge
We are looking for a highly skilled Fullstack Developer with strong experience in Python, .NET, and modern web technologies, along with hands-on exposure to AI/ML-powered application development. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable full-stack applications, integrating backend services, and enabling AI-driven features into business solutions.This role requires someone candidate is comfortable working across the entire software development lifecycle—from frontend interfaces to backend APIs, databases, cloud deployment, and AI integrations.
Additional Information*
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Toronto, ON is CAD $110k – CAD $120k/year & benefits (see below).
The Role
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain full-stack web applications using Python, .NET, and modern frontend frameworks.
Build robust, scalable, and secure REST APIs and backend services.
Develop responsive and user-friendly frontend components using technologies such as React, Angular, or JavaScript frameworks.
Integrate AI/ML models, third-party AI APIs, or LLM-based capabilities into enterprise applications.
Collaborate with product managers, designers, data scientists, and engineering teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices.
Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical planning.
Work with relational and/or NoSQL databases for application data management.
Deploy and manage applications in cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing applications.
Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and software quality standards.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
6+ years of software development experience.
Experience building stable and maintainable production-grade web applications.
Proficient with Python, .NET, JavaScript (Angular/Vue) for building production grade applications.
Experience with Python Data Manipulation libraries, Pandas/NumPy.
Excellent SQL skills for data modeling, constructing complex queries, and performance optimization.
Experience with designing complex ETL data pipelines for mission critical applications.
Proficient with AI development tools (Claude/GitHub Copilot/Cursor).
Experience with cloud-native software development, especially Microservice architecture, Docker, and OAuth2.
Strong communication skills, curiosity, and sense of empathy to effectively collaborate with investment professionals.
Intrinsic motivation to leverage your skills, experience, and creativity to help others be successful.
Passion for continuous learning and sharing knowledge with others.
Preferred, but not required:
Experience with Apache Airflow, building out workflow DAGs and scheduling jobs.
Experience with developing production grade MCPs/RAG pipelines/Knowledge Systems.
Understanding of investment/trading industry, especially via experience in asset management or capital markets.
