We’re looking for a software engineer to help us build out and scale our product to handle billions of dollars transaction. This role will collaborate with many teams across the company to design and deliver high quality, high impact features to our users. Successful product/full stack engineers typically have broad experience across our technology stack. They may also be an expert in one or more areas, but this isn't a requirement.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with engineering and non-engineering teams across the company to better understand our users and how our technology can meet their evolving needs
- Lead engineering projects from scoping to implementation to maintenance
- Implement backend APIs (Python, Django, GraphQL/REST)
- Implement frontend components (TypeScript, React)
- Perform data modeling and data management (PostgreSQL, Redis, RabbitMQ)
- Utilize and contribute to software engineering best practices (Git, CI/CD, observability, test automation, etc.)
- Author and contribute to technical documents, such as design documents or system documentation
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 5+ years of experience developing full stack solutions at scale
- Proven track record of leading technical projects and delivering solutions
- Solid engineering and coding skills
- Solid understanding of web technology fundamentals (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, web browsers, web servers, HTTP, etc.)
- Familiar with popular frontend frameworks (React)
- Familiar with popular backend frameworks (Django, Flask)
- Familiar with software testing strategies
This isn’t for you if
- You need top-down direction. We operate extremely autonomously so you’ll be expected to determine the highest impact areas to work on, collaborating with your product squad and manager to ensure there’s alignment.
- You haven't worked in a cross-functional, multi-disciplinary product team shipping work to a large scale customer-base.
