Job Description SummaryThe Global Process Engineer (GPE) will work closely with the Global Manufacturing Engineering Leader. The primary focus is developing and deploying global standards that improve the reliability, availability, and performance of Aero Alliance’s manufacturing equipment and processes. They will analyze data, work cross-functionally to implement proactive measures that improve processes, and drive cost reduction through standardization of equipment and processes. The GPE will establish standards and ensure adherence, and will be a focal point for new technology introductions, asset transfers, and new process introductions, including lead time, technology selection, and recommendations for fixturing, tooling, process, control plans, and qualifications of manufacturing assets. The GPE will coach and influence a dotted-line organization of factory manufacturing engineers across Aero Alliance factories and will leverage lean methodology and the guiding principle of creating process standards for equipment (“One Product One Process”) to drive SQDC in line with business and functional objectives. The selected candidate will gain strong technical knowledge and extensive exposure to manufacturing, engineering, quality, and safe process development, and will contribute to building a culture of inclusion, respect for people, and continuous improvement.Roles and ResponsibilitiesDevelop, qualify, and improve manufacturing processes. Define global process standards and equipment standards and deploy them across the Aero Alliance factories, partnering with local factory technical leaders.Define, control, and communicate global processes for manufacturing assets, including facility integration, acceptance testing, machine health checks and calibrations, preventative maintenance plans, spare parts strategy, and technical and technology training.Validate engineering specifications and shop floor application of new processes, including EHS, Manufacturing Engineers, Engineering, Quality, Materials, Industrialization, Materials, and Sourcing.Partner with channels on the development of new repair processes and qualifications.Develop and implement reliability improvement strategies using industry best practices such as FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).Collaborate with maintenance, operations, engineering, and safety teams to design and implement preventive and predictive programs.Drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing equipment downtime and improving quality processes.Lead investigations into failures and chronic issues, identifying root causes and implementing robust corrective actions to eliminate re-occurrence.Provide technical support for asset management, including equipment life cycle analysis and spare parts optimization.Train local factory manufacturing engineers to deepen their expertise in process and equipment.Participate in the design and installation of new equipment and implementation of processes, ensuring reliability is considered from the outset (Design for Reliability).Interpret internal and external business challenges and recommend best practices to improve products, processes, or services. Stay informed of industry trends that may inform work.Use high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems in areas of operational, product management, manufacturing, technology, or engineering. Assess quality of information and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders. Propose new solutions outside of set parameters and provide recommendations using multiple internal and external sources.Lead functional teams or projects with minimal resource requirements, risk, or complexity.
