Join our dynamic Grid Connection department as a Power System Engineer, where you will play a crucial role in the development and optimization of electrical simulation models. Imagine utilizing tools like Matlab/Simulink and DigSilent PF to create innovative solutions that support our wind power initiatives. You will engage in simulation studies for specific Wind Power Plants, ensuring compliance with grid codes and enhancing model performance. How You’ll Make An Impact
- Develop and optimize electrical simulation models using various tools, including Matlab/Simulink, DigSilent PF, and PSS/E.
- Utilize automatic code generation tools to enhance model efficiency.
- Test model performance, analyze results, and assess capabilities against Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) standards.
- Understand grid code requirements and their implications on simulation models.
- Document your activities through design reports, validation reports, and guidelines, while developing automation pipelines for model verification and deployment.
What You Bring
- A passion for renewable energy and a commitment to leading change.
- A bachelor's, master's, or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, and a minimum of 3+ years of experience in electrical simulation model development.
- Proficiency in simulation tools such as Matlab/Simulink, DigSilent PF, and PSS/E, with additional experience in TSAT being a plus.
- Familiarity with programming languages like C/C++, Fortran, Python, or Modelica is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of grid compliance simulation studies and overall software development, along with knowledge of wind turbines and power plants.
