About the Role
We are currently seeking a Groups Programs Coordinator to join our team at our Mudgeeraba Sensory Farm . This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about working with people with disability (primarily autism and mental health), youth at risk, and disadvantaged demographics, and who has a strong appreciation for outdoor-based programs.
The majority of this role will focus on overseeing our POS (Programs of Support) programs . These are life-skills–based programs designed to provide participants with meaningful opportunities to develop practical skills, build confidence, and increase independence in their everyday lives.
The role supports the coordination and delivery of our Programs Calendar and requires a combination of office-based administration and on-the-ground group facilitation , with some weekend work required.
This is a full-time position (38 hours per week) , with the primary focus on administrative and coordination responsibilities.
In addition to core duties, there are opportunities to earn additional income by facilitating School Holiday Program (SHP) camps and weekend camps throughout the year. Participation in these programs is optional but provides valuable hands-on engagement with program delivery and increased earning potential.
This role is best suited to applicants who live on the Gold Coast or in Northern New South Wales .
You will be responsible for the administrative coordination of all assigned activities , including but not limited to:
Overseeing the detailed planning and execution of POS programs and other group activities
Managing communication with a diverse range of stakeholders , including participants, families, staff, and external providers
Handling reservations, bookings, and attendance tracking across multiple programs
Creating, maintaining, and adjusting staff rosters and schedules
Implementing, documenting, and maintaining risk assessments and safety strategies
Preparing comprehensive post-program reports and documentation
While the primary focus of this role is POS programs, the position is adaptable , and you may be required to support other areas of the Groups team as needed.
This role requires strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities simultaneously.
An event management background or experience in program coordination, disability services, youth work, or outdoor programs would be highly regarded.

Salary: $76,000 – $80,000 , depending on experience

Develop and maintain effective, collaborative professional relationships with staff, clients and external stakeholders
Essential
Minimum 2 years experience working with people with disabilities (specifically autism and mental illness), youth at risk or marginalised demographics; and or
Experience facilitating outdoor education highly regarded
Event management experience highly regarded
Strong Administration skills – computer literacy and Google Workspace knowledge base
Thorough understanding of the Risk Assessment and Management processes
Relevant life experience that can be utilised for participant development
Highly Desirable
Relevant degree in Disability, Youth Work, Community Services.
Qualifications in Outdoor Education; or Qualifications in the Wellbeing and Fitness sectors; or experience in frontline emergency services.
The applicant must also have the following currencies or be willing to acquire them:
Current Driver's licence;
Current QLD Paid Blue Card and NSW WWCC;
NDIS Worker Screening;
Current First Aid/CPR certification;
Rights to work in Australia.
