Head of Finance (Ref: KH1306)
The position is responsible for leading the full financial management function of the organization in the Philippines in close collaboration with the Vietnam HQ.
The Job
a) Financial strategy and leadership
- Develop and execute the company’s financial strategy aligned with business objectives
- Provide financial insights to Senior Leadership and guide long-term planning.
- Lead the Finance Department, mentor staff, and build high-performance teams
b) Financial Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting
- Oversee annual budget creation and multi-year financial forecasts
- Monitor financial performance vs budget, ensuring variance analyses and corrective actions
- Recommend cost-efficiency initiatives and investment decisions
c) Accounting & Reporting
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Maintain compliance with PFRS and corporate accounting policies
- Oversee general ledger management, accounts payable / receivable, cash flow and treasury activities
d) Tax Compliance & Regulatory Requirements
- Ensure full compliance with BIR regulations (VAT, withholding taxes, income tax, etc),
- Oversee filings with government agencies depending on the business
- Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors and government regulators
e) Internal Controls & Risk Management
- Strengthen internal control procedures and ensure adherence to financial policies
- Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies
- Oversee internal and external audits, ensuring timely resolution of findings
f) Cash Flow & Treasury Management
- Manage working capital, liquidity and banking relationships
- Optimize cash flow and ensure adequate funding for operations
- Evaluate financing options, credit facilities and treasury transactions
g) Strategic Business Support
- Partner with Department Heads on financial impact assessments
- Provide data for pricing strategies, cost analyses and profitability reviews
- Support new business initiatives, expansions and feasibility studies
The Candidate
a) Education and Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance or related field
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the Philippines strongly preferred
- MBA or Master’s degree is an advantage
b) Experience
- 8-12+ years of progressive experience in finance or accounting
- At least 3-5 years in a leadership or managerial role
- Experience with MNCs, shared service centers, or regulated industries is a plus.
- Background in renewable energy, power or infrastructure is preferred.
c) Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of PFRS, BIR regulations, and Philippines corporate compliance
- Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in financial analysis, forecasting and strategic planning
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP)
- High integrity, strong analytical thinking and ability to work under pressure
- Entrepreneurial mindset and comfortable working in a fast-growing environment
